They study weather and seasons and are involved in global monitoring of environment and weather forecasting. Geographers are also involved in urban planning, environmental planning and monitoring.
Geographers specialize in various fields like Economic Geography, Cultural Geography, Environment Control, Political Geography, and Natural Resources. You can also specialize in Cartography, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geo-morphology, Meteorology, Climatology, Remote sensing, and other related areas.
Geographers do a lot of research work and field work. As per specialization geographers work as cartographers, climatologist, Geographic Information system specialist, environmental analyst, urban planner, Remote sensing specialist etc.
